EvilHouse / The Facility

EvilHouse is a domestic shell wrapped around a small data center, a MeshCore node, and whatever else you decide to wire into the walls.

Known as the Geek House of Evil, the joke refused to die. The house is a physical anchor for EViL Industries: lab, testbed, shrine to over-engineering, and occasional place to sleep.

It’s not a smart home. It’s a too smart home. Everything here either routes packets, moves electrons, or is coffee.

The full history of EvilHouse spans decades and far too many phases to document in one sitting. The entries below are driven from a timeline data file and can be updated as the archives are excavated.

2001 – Genesis

[Placeholder] First incarnation of EvilHouse. Early residents, early chaos. Replace with real details later.

2002 – ISDN & iJolt

[Placeholder] ISDN era, first internal tools like iJolt. Fill in proper history when ready.

2003–2010 – The Copper Years

[Placeholder] Wiring, home-lab growth, and too many cables. Add narrative once the archives are dug up.

2010–2018 – Expansion Era

[Placeholder] Servers multiply, virtualization spreads, blades enter the picture. Details pending.

2019–2024 – Modernization

[Placeholder] MeshCore, VRTX, and the EViL Industries identity solidify around EvilHouse.

Future – Ongoing

[Placeholder] EvilHouse continues to evolve. Nothing ends, everything iterates.

EvilHouse Residents

3 beings currently inhabit the facility. Only one of them is even pretending to be normal.

Resident-01 // Striker (The Dutchman)

A man built from copper wire and highway dust. Veteran of ISPs and datacenters, raised on 27 MHz static and the smell of hot silicon. When he’s not driving something too fast, he’s wiring something too well—coax, fiber, or LEGO, it all fits together in his hands.

Tenure: 2001 – Present

Resident-02 // ケシイ

Architect of the network, high priestess of voltage. Keeps the blades humming, the caffeine flowing, and the boundaries between real and digital mercifully thin.

Tenure: Unknown – Present

Resident-03 // <redacted>

Presence acknowledged. Details withheld. The house knows they’re here; that’s enough.

Tenure: Unknown – Present

Former Residents

Some of the people who left their fingerprints on the wiring and then moved on. Dates are approximate; the house keeps better records than anyone else.

Crossfire

Part of the 2001 genesis lineup, present at the birth of EvilHouse. Gone by 2002, but still wired into the origin story.

Tenure: 2001 – 2002

Yvan

Early-era ghost. Shared the house through the first years as it shifted from 'just a place to live' into a fledgling lab.

Tenure: 2001 – 2002

Harley

Joined during the ISDN era, when EvilHouse was still arguing with the phone lines and writing code to keep them alive.

Tenure: 2002 – Unknown

ANUBiS

Mid-2000s presence, part of the house’s evolution toward its modern form. Another name etched into the 2006 logs.

Tenure: 2003 – 2006

andrewg

Known to the house primarily as a former resident by the time 2005 rolled around. The wiring remembers, even if the paperwork doesn’t.

Tenure: 2004 – 2004
